Class Description: Enjoy some time preparing for your special “birth” day with a fun, informative, express 1-Day Lamaze Class! You and your support person will learn anatomy, signs of labor, helpful hints for the coach and comfort measures such as breathing, relaxation techniques and various positions to help reverse back labor and failure to progress. Hospital procedures and interventions, medications, cesarean birth and birth day care for mom and baby are also covered. The goal of the course is to provide a balanced approach, combining the benefits of Lamaze with medical practices, if needed, to enable mom to enjoy a positive birth experience.
It is best to finish all classes 4-6 weeks before your due date. This will provide sufficient time for practice, while reducing the chance of forgetting it all if you take the class too early.
Registrants for this class also receive complimentary review videos and lots of additional resources!
Instructor Bio: Class is taught by Shelly Matthews, a Lamaze Childbirth Educator with over 15 years experience, who enjoys sharing what she’s learned about the mysteries of birth with expectant families.
Cost: This class costs $195 for birthing partner + support person. Private classes are also available in our office, your office, or your home.
***Moms-to-be will want to bring an exercise mat or blanket, 2 pillows and a pen or pencil.***
