OUTPATIENT IBCLC (VIRTUAL and/or IN-PERSON)

Do you love helping families thrive? Are you looking to advance your skills by being part of a collaborative, inquisitive, and creatively teaching team? Do you value being part of a well respected and established organization, with administrative infrastructure that supports the local community? As we grow and evolve, our vision for The Center is a staff and a team-culture that actively reflects and supports the diverse city in which we’re located. We’d like to welcome team members with a variety of life experiences and identities who can effectively and competently serve anyone and everyone who needs our services, including folks of color, folks of all genders, family structures, and faiths (or lack thereof). If this resonates with you, or describes a team you'd like to be a part of, we’d love to hear from you!

We are looking for experienced outpatient IBCLCs with a visionary outlook and a passion for working with families on their goals around breast/chestfeeding. The Breastfeeding Center's mission is to support families from pregnancy through the transitions of early parenthood with relationship-based care, and evidence-based instruction and resources, with a full team of wrap-around integrative health services for lactation and postpartum. We're here to help our clients navigate pregnancy, lactation, and postpartum with greater ease and joy, and give them the tools to make informed and empowered decisions that feel best for them and their families.

The ideal candidate is someone who is committed to the values of reproductive justice, choice, and autonomy and totally dedicated to helping families meet their self-determined breast/chestfeeding goals, whatever they may be. The clientele is diverse in many ways, so meeting people where they are and leaving your own biases at the door is a must. The lactation consultant must also be committed to the mission of the Breastfeeding Center as a whole, and to training and guiding IBCLCs-in-training as the Breastfeeding Center strives to create more equitable access to mentorships.
