Your Class Journey

unless listed as “in-Person,” all classes are happening virtually right now.

Our classes are listed by stage, from conception to toddlerhood in the order we’d suggest exploring them. Within each stage of the journey we’ll give you the “don’t miss it” classes, and some additional options you might consider taking too.

Most classes are either free or insurance-covered (you’ll know it’s an insurance class if we ask for your insurance info). But we also offer Financial Assistance for any of our paid classes.

Don’t miss it: we highly suggest taking a comprehensive childbirth class at some point in your 2nd or 3rd trimester.

Want a comprehensive childbirth class designed especially for families of color? Learn with an experienced & certified Black doula—we’ll have honest discussion, and talk about self-advocacy and communicating with providers to create a safe environment for parents and babies of color.

The focus of this class is to tap into a birth experience that is led by your voice. Becoming grounded in the power of your own body, looking at the mind/body connection to self-advocacy, understanding your rights as a birthing person, and provide tools for building an aligned birthing team.

Don’t miss it: Work with Occupational Therapist Carolyn Johnson to develop a plan and learn tools to care for yourself while caring for your newborn.

Add this workshop on if you’d like to explore comfort measures and positioning in-depth, after your comprehensive Childbirth Class.

Evidence suggests the emotional, physical, and informational support doulas give to during the birthing process leads to fewer clinical procedures during labor and birth, fewer birth complications, and more satisfying experiences during labor, birth, and postpartum.

Let’s take a quick pause on our Class Journey! Have you taken all of the classes above that you’re interested in, but still have some questions about your specific needs?

You might consider a prenatal lactation appointment.

We suggest a prenatal appointment if you have additional questions, OR if you've had prior breastfeeding difficulty, prior breast surgery, have flat or inverted nipples, are expecting multiples, if you’re planning for or expect the possibility of a caesarean birth, or you have a hormonal condition such as PCOS, infertility, thyroid issues, or diabetes, or if inducing lactation. You and your IBCLC will complete a breast assessment, discuss your concerns, and set up a care plan to get breastfeeding off to a great start. Having a prenatal appointment will not limit the number of appointments you can have covered by insurance after your baby is born.
