First check to make sure that you have all the parts you need for the Spectra S3.

Common Troubleshooting Questions

Check that the adaptor is plugged into the pump and into the wall.
If you are using an adapter, make sure that it is assembled properly.
Check that your main outlet is working.

This is an internal issue with the pump that has to be fixed by Spectra. Please text or call (202) 293-5182 to swap out your pump.

Check that you have not accidentally changed your vacuum intensity settings.
Check your pump parts - are the valves attached to the flanges? Have you replaced your valves recently?
If you are noticing decreased suction on one side - make sure the valve is seated correctly on the flange, that the valve has no tears or needs to be replaced, check that the tubing is snugly attached.
Also check that the cap is fully covering the tubing adapter port that you are not using (if single pumping).
Check your backflow protectors (they should be dry and assembled correctly).
Make sure there is no damage to your tubing.
Also make sure that air is not leaking from between the breast/chest and the flange.
Lastly, place a finger directly over one of the air ports. If you do not feel suction that means that the pump needs to be serviced by Spectra.
