Affirmations for New Parents
The postpartum period can be filled with many moments of joy and also moments of challenge. This is to be expected as new parents’ bodies are changing and finding a new groove. Here at The Center, we believe that parents who are supported, educated, and connected with parent communities are more likely to have positive experiences. Aside from support, having tools in your back pocket can also be helpful. Below is a list of affirmations to remind you that you are a wonderful parent and you are doing the best you can. We are so proud to be with you on this journey!
Affirmations are most effective when repeated often with a positive and open mindset. By incorporating affirmations into your daily routine, you are manifesting these statements into reality.
I can…
seek help without feeling guilt.
take care of my needs as well as my baby’s.
ask for help.
I am…
a great parent.
making the best decisions for my family.
enough.
supported.
kind to myself as a parent and as a person.
It is okay…
if my baby wants to nurse often.
not to be perfect.
that I don’t have to do it all; I can rest.
that I don’t know everything, no parent does.
I choose to…
love my body as it is and appreciate the strength that it has shown me.
center myself in love and light.
appreciate the work that my body is doing.
love my body no matter what today brings.
I know that…
I can do this.
my baby loves me.
I am doing my absolute best and that is beautiful.
my self-love is not selfish.
I can accomplish my goals while maintaining peace of mind.
my life is filled with moments to be grateful for.
every day, love comes to me in abundance.
